Bloodroot is a perennial flowering plant native to eastern North America. The red juices of the bloodroot can be used in pastes or salves externally to help with removing warts. Used by Native American artists, bloodroot is a natural dye. When cut open, the root has a reddish sap. Bloodroot is also an antiseptic. It has been used in commercial toothpastes to help support oral hygeine and health.
